I was inspired to write this song after overhearing a co-worker talk to her son about going to military school. It seems to me that the only way to fight against the perpetual wars we are involved in is to encourage kids not to sign up. I went to a site that analyzed recruitment slogans for the various military branches. It was disgusting. I stole their slogans as well as some verbiage from recruitment sites, and wrote this song with them.
